Tigers, Cougars and Kowboys

Those important questions aside, Head Coach Elijah Williams, and his Tigers, certainly appreciated sharing a few light-hearted moments with the four-time, NFL All-Pro receiver, before handling business against an outmatched homecoming opponent. Thursday afternoon presented a needed pick-me up for JHS, coming off back-to-back defeats — a crushing 1-point loss to district frontrunner Edgewater, and a 20-point defeat by out-of-state Duncanville (Texas). After this palette cleanse, the Tigers (3-2) turn their focus to a clash with the Osceola Kowboys (2-2), on Monday. JHS would benefit from a signature win over a quality opponent, with their one lost, as they sit only one spot behind first place in their division — chasing the Edgewater team that defeated them earlier this season.

OHS comes to ‘The Jungle’, with momentum, and hunting for a marquee win to start a three week marathon from Jones, to district rival Celebration, and then to St. Cloud. Currently sitting at fourth in an extraordinarily competitive division, the single-loss Kowboys are playing with purpose, and outscoring their opponents (collectively) by no less than forty points, according to MaxPreps.

Meanwhile, the UHS Cougars also have a great opportunity to finish strong, as they visit Timber Creek next.
