Orlando City SC is one of the fastest-growing football clubs in America. A few things that need to be taken into consideration for the upcoming season are that Orlando City SC needs to improve their finishing. There were lots of times when only if their finishing would have been better they would be better placed in the final standings in the MLS table.

The younger professionals of the team including Facundo Torres and Cesar Araujo made it big in their first season. They look promising and Orlando City SC will have to build a more experienced squad around them just so the younger ones learn better from them and can feed off of their experience. These two are arguably the best young players in Major League Soccer. Gaston Gonzalez missed the entire season due to being injured but he will be back in the next season.

Orlando City also needs to capitalize on Thomas Williams and Michael Halliday. They both are experienced and need to have more playing time as they are homegrown players of Orlando City. Wilfredo Rivera was loaned out to their rivals in the previous transfer market Orlando should be thinking to bring him back because he can perform better in the forward positions and might help to increase the goal.

A transfer rumor is surfing around the internet that says that Orlando City SC is set to sign the US Men’s National Team prospect Nico Gioacchini. He is also a forward player who has a single-season experience in one of the top 5 leagues of the world. However, he is set to come back to his home ground and play there once again. The new experience of playing in France against top teams will have definitely helped him grow better.

Gaston Gonzalez had a knee injury and is not favored to play again soon. He is as good as gone. Now Orlando City SC is looking for his replacement and they want to ensure that whoever they choose, should be well enough to replace him. They are looking at Santiago Simon. Simon is a forward who plays for the team. He has had 3 assists in 11 games with one goal as well. What Orlando City SC needs right now is someone who plays for the team and helps them in scoring more goals. Simon fits in the profile of someone who is highly rated with amazing skills and is also of little cost. But looking at Orlando’s new budget he will not be a problem. The Lions should definitely go for him. Santos is one of Brazil’s most iconic and prolific teams. Pirani is one forward who plays on both the wings of that team and can be an absolute asset for it.  Orlando City SC’s problems of attacks should be covered by these new signings and they will fare better. The only problem that they face right now is that there are very less players who take responsibility for scoring in every single game. The only reason Orlando City SC was not able to reach its potential was because of how many chances they failed to complete. We can only hope that they fix this.

Orlando City vs. CF Montreal: The Ultimate Stalemate

The Orlando City vs.CF Montreal match highlights the strengths and improvements necessary to carry the Lions from second place to first this season. Despite mostly holding the ball for the first half, Orlando City only made one goal within four shots. Turmoil heightened as ten fouls and multiple yellow cards were given to Duncan McGuire and Wilder Cartagena.

Pedro Gallese earned his position as a star goalkeeper as he made five saves – four of which occurred within the beginning five minutes. Despite concerns, the Lions finished strong during the second half with a 9-1 advantage in corners. Keeping the playing field leveled, Gallese continued to stop Kwadwo Opoku’s attempts to shoot on a breakaway.

Players and fans held bated breaths as pass after pass remained off by mere centimeters. Allowing Montreal to steal the ball and keep the scoreboard en-passed. The singular deciding factor was a penalty kick from Torres. Although he scored, it was waved off due to Jack Lynn being offside. A decision concluded from reviewing multiple video replays.

Although heavily anticipated, this stalemate was neither a triumph nor a disappointment – but a buffer until the next match.
