UCF Knights Football opened the month of May with a slew of commitments from players who are expected to raise the level of play for the program in the coming seasons.

UCF announced on May 1 that former Toledo and Louisville running back Peny Boone has committed to join the Knights.

Boone was considered one of the best running backs on the transfer portal after rushing for 1,400 yards and 15 TDs for Toledo last season. His terrific performance on the field earned him the 2023 MAC Player of the Year.

Boone, who will have two more years left in his eligibility, is expected to form a dynamic partnership with fellow running back RJ Harvey, significantly bolstering the Knights’ rushing offense.
