Watch: UCF Men’s Basketball Training Heats Up!

The UCF men’s basketball team is in the middle of their heavy preparation for their second season in the Big 12 starting this fall.

UCF hoops recently shared on social media platform X several videos and photos of Knights players hitting the weight room and running plays ahead of the 2024-25 college basketball season.

The Knights, who overachieved in their maiden season in the Big 12 after finishing with a 17-16 record (7-11 in the conference), have added size and versatility to their roster after landing 6-foot-7 wing Keyshawn Hall, 6-foot-8 JJ Taylor, and hometown kid Deebo Coleman via transfer portal.

Moustapha Thiam, the No.1 center in the class of 2025, will also play for the Knights this 2024-25 season after he decided to reclassify a year earlier.

The 7-foot-2 Senegalese is a physical specimen with the rapidly evolving skill set of a modern big man. He is coming off a noteworthy season where he was among the standouts at the Adidas 3SSB circuit.

He served as the focal point of Austin Rivers SE Elite in the tournament, averaging 15.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.7 blocks, and 1.0 steals in 28 minutes per game.

Jaylin Sellers, who led the Knights in scoring last season at 15.9 points per game on 41 FG%, will also return for the final year of his eligibility.

The Knights will kick off his 2024-25 college basketball season against Texas A&M on November 4 at Addition Financial Arena.
