The Rise of Teo Edwards Built, Not Given

Some athletes are born talented. Others are built through belief, discipline, and the right development. According to Coach Lo, Teo Edwards is the perfect example of the latter.

“Teo Edwards is a pure athlete,” Coach Lo explained. “He can play defense, he can play offense but his heart was always at quarterback.”

From a young age, Edwards faced pressure to switch positions. Many believed his athleticism could be better used elsewhere. Instead of folding, he stayed committed to his vision.

“He stuck to his guns,” Coach Lo said. “He sought out top quarterback coaches around Central Florida and committed to his journey as a quarterback.”

That commitment paid off.

Edwards competed nationally as a quarterback with Football University (FBU), lining up against elite talent year after year. Whether it was national events, 7-on-7 competition, or youth football, one thing remained consistent  he won.

“The difference with Teo is his athleticism paired with discipline,” Coach Lo noted. “He always finds a way to elevate his team.”

That mindset carried over to high school, where Edwards stepped into a starting role early. After transferring to Auburndale High School, he made an immediate impact, helping lead the program to the playoffs while posting strong numbers in his first season.

The biggest statement came recently in Orlando.

At the All-American Exposure Bowl, Edwards didn’t just show up, he dominated. Competing against top talent from across the country, he earned MVP honors, led his team to victory, and proved he belongs on the national stage.

“That performance was huge,” Coach Lo said. “It confirmed everything we already knew.”

As a result, Edwards now holds five Division I offers, including a recent offer from Bowling Green, with more attention continuing to build.

“This is just the beginning for Teo,” Coach Lo added. “When you trust the process and stay committed to your purpose, the results will follow.”
