GOOD KNIGHT, FARE WELL

In the final AAC edition of their rivalry series, the UCF Knights dismantled the hapless Bulls one last time in Raymond James Stadium, 46-39.

South Florida won four straight against UCF until 2008, setting the tone for what has grown into one of the most passionate interstate clashes in the state. Soon, UCF will depart for the Big XII conference, making this into annual match-up into an uncommon, non-conference affair.

In the third quarter, a beleaguered USF team suddenly began to come alive, before claiming the lead in fourth. Only a heroic effort from prolific sophomore quarterback Mikey Keene saved the game for the Knights, following yet another injury to senior starter John Rhys Plumlee.

With this win, the Knight move toward a rematch with first-place Tulane (10-2) on Dec. 3rd.
