Pride, Determination, and Perseverance are the mantra of the Evans Trojans Football program. This 2022-23 team, currently fighting for their first win of the season, embodies that mantra in their own way.
After watching their fight on Friday night, competing with a talented Winter Park team, I wish I could’ve grabbed a headset and joined them in it. Full disclosure, I’ve been a Trojan since before I could breathe. My mother’s little brother went to war in the trenches as an offensive lineman in Trojans green, and white. My father’s little brother was a proud member of the mighty Green Machine Marching Band of Evans High School. Trojan pride is in my blood.
