Tampa Bay Bucanneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a 13-point favorite against the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday. However, they played as if they were the underdog. Carolina beat Tampa Bay by a score of 21-3. It is safe to say that Tampa Bay was grossly inefficient on Sunday. An inexplicable drop by a wide-open Mike Evans on the opening drive was a mere foreshadowing of what was to come.

In spite of the fact that the Bucs had more first downs, ran more plays and won the time of possession battle, the team only managed to score 3 points against a Carolina team in the midst of a clear rebuild.

The Buccaneers’s D could not stop the Panthers from being a model of efficiency in the air and on the ground. Third stringer PJ Walker was 16-22 for 177 yards and 2 TDs. He had a career rating of 128.6.

The Panthers ground game was paced by an 118 yard performance by D’Onta Foreman.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars gained 452 yards of offense against an impressive Giants defense. In spite of a spirited final drive, the Jaguars’ final drive would fall short at the 1 yard line thanks to Giants safeties Julian Love and Xavier McKinney. The Giants would hold on to win 23-17.

Trevor Lawrence would have a 300+ yard performance and Travis Etienne ran for over 100 yards.

However, the NY Giants would impose their will via the ground game by rushing for 236 yards. Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones managed to rush for over 100 yards each.

After a promising start, the Jaguars are fading out of contention. They have lost four in a row.

Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins ensured that not all NFL Florida Teams would end up in the losers column. The Dolphins beat the Steelers 16-10 on Sunday Night.

A returning Tua Tagovailoa had the Dolphins offense running like the Alabama Crimson Tide on their opening drive. That opening drive was more like an opening statement! However, the Dolphins did not manage to score a touchdown the rest of the night. They did not score in the 2nd half.

Ultimately, Kenny Pickett and the Steelers were bitten by the turnover bug in the final few minutes. Pickett would throw interceptions to safety Jevon Holland and cornerback Noah Igbinohene in the final two drives.

Predictions:

Baltimore Ravens vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were clearly not ready to play a game despite having a full week of practice.

Now, they have a very short week to prepare. They will get to go against a Baltimore Ravens squad that has had issues with their secondary all season.

While the Bucs will put up points, this Bucs team is a mess and the Thursday night game came at the worst possible time for the Bucs. I feel that the Bucs will find their way eventually, but not against a motivated Ravens team on a short week.

Baltimore will beat Tampa Bay 27-17.

Predictions: Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The Denver Broncos’s offense has been absolutely brutal while their defense is top-tier. I have no doubt they will make life difficult for Trevor Lawrence.

However, I feel that the Jaguars will do enough to get by. Brett Rypien might aid the Jaguars by making key mistakes. Nathaniel Hackett may be one of the worst coaches I’ve seen in years and I highly doubt he’ll be out coaching Doug Pederson.

It will be bowling shoe ugly, but the Jaguars will beat the Broncos 13-10.

Prediction:. Miami Dolphins vs Detroit Lions.

It looked like the Dolphins offense were due for an explosive night against the Steelers defense. However, that wasn’t the case.

It will surely happen this week. Expect the Dolphins offense to explode against the free falling Lions. Tua Tagovailoa is due for a monster game. Additionally, the dynamic receiving duo of Jaylen Waddle and Tyriek Hill haven’t had a touchdown in a number of weeks. I feel one of them will reach the end zone. As a matter of fact, I would not be surprised if both of them reach the endzone.

The Dolphins will beat the Lions 35-17.
