Next month, the third installment of the XFL will make its debut. This version of the XFL will consist of eight teams and will have a ten-game regular season schedule. The season will conclude towards the end of April. The XFL championship is scheduled for May 13th.
One of those eight XFL teams that’s scheduled to play is the Orlando Guardians. They are scheduled to play all of their home games at Camping World Stadium this season.
Their head coach will be former NFL player Terrell Buckley. Terrell Buckley played in the NFL for 13 years. He played for eight NFL players.
When one looks at the Orlando Guardians XFL roster, there are quite a few players that are poised to make an impact during this inaugural season. So without further ado, let’s look at those standout players.
RB – Jah-Maine Martin.

The Orlando Guardians might have gotten themselves a gem with Jah-Maine Martin. He was one of the top HBCU running backs a few years ago. As a college football player for North Carolina A&T, he ran for over 1400+ yards and 23 touchdowns. His quickness gives him the ability to get tough yards. Jah-Maine Martin is poised to be the premier running back.
WR – Andrew Jamiel

Andrew Jamiel is a standout player who has made an impact with the TSL (The Spring League) and FCF (Fan Controlled Football). He had two 1000+ yard seasons as a college football player at Stonehill University. Overall, he finished with 3600+ yards and 30 TDS in his college career.
As a member of the FCF’s Glacier Boyz, he had 323 receiving yards and 8 TDS. Andrew Jamiel will thrive based on the fact that he’s reunited with Orlando Guardians offensive coordinator Robert Ford. Robert Ford was the offensive coordinator of the FCF’S Glacier Boyz during his tenure there.
WR – Stephen Guidry
Stephen Guidry‘s physical tools are evident. He’s 6”4” and has elite speed. He had a solid college football as he totaled over 800+ yards for Mississippi St of the SEC. Guidry would garner the attention of the Dallas Cowboys. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
TE – Ryan Becker

The offense of Orlando Guardians offensive coordinator Robert Ford has a heavy focus on the tight end. Ryan Becker is 6”5 and was a successful TE in SMU especially with regards to endzone production. All of the touchdowns that he scored in college came while he was in the redzone. One can expect Ryan Becker to be a very reliable red zone target in Robert Ford’s offense.
LT – Brandon Murphy
It is no secret that the team’s first choice as an offensive lineman was Brandon Murphy. Brandon Murphy is a former college basketball player that ended up transitioning to a college football player in Memphis. He played one year at left tackle in Memphis. He was so impressive that he ended up earning a roster sport in the TSL and then ended up getting signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
His athleticism as a basketball player will allow to thrive at the pivotal left tackle spot for the Orlando Guardians.
RT – TJ Bradley
TJ Bradley is another player that stands out from a physical standpoint. He is a monstrous 6”8 and weighs 325 pounds. Bradley played college football for Maryland. Given his height, the Orlando Guardians have a couple of good options. They could keep him at his natural RT position to create a potentially nice tandem at the tackle spot with me and Murphy. However, he could also be shifted to guard to help create room for the running attack.
DL/LB- Nick Cole
Nick Cole may be the premier pass-rusher on the Guardians. He played as both a defensive lineman and linebacker in the NFL. He had nine sacks in his college career. His professional career included stints with the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins and two stints with CFL teams.
The Orlando Guardians’ defensive line desires a defensive front full of versatile players who can play multiple positions. Nick Cole fits that bill.
LB – Lakia Henry
After being considered the #1 defensive prospect in junior college a few years ago, Lakia Henry had over 180+ tackles and 3.5 sacks for Mississippi State during his college career. . He will provide valuable speed to the linebacking corps of the Orlando Guardians.
DB – Matt Elam
The Orlando Guardians are fortunate to have this NFL veteran in their background. Matt Elam played three years for the Baltimore Ravens. He started 26 games for the Ravens during his three-year career. He also played for 2 teams in the CFL and one team in the IFL.
In his last stint in the XFL, he had 15 tackles and a stint in just four games. With his experience, he should be a great mentor for the young players in the Guardians secondary.
