Today the Orlando Guardians welcomed quarterback Paxton Lynch to the Orlando Guardians. Lynch hails from Deltona, Florida as a product of Trinity Christian Academy.
The 28-year-old Lynch is no stranger to professional football, having been a first-round selection of the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft. After two seasons with the Broncos, Lynch also had stints with the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL, as well as the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Most recently, he played for the USFL in 2022, appearing in six games.

Prior to his professional career, Lynch starred at the University of Memphis, which he attended for three years. Although he may be gone, he remains one of the top players in program history. Lynch is No. 3 all-time in pass completions (758) and passing yards (8,863), No. 4 in touchdowns responsible for (76) and touchdown passes (59). He holds the single-season completion percentage record (.668/2015) and is No. 3 on the Tigers’ single-season passing yards list (3,776/2015). On top of that, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Memphis in May 2016.
We can’t wait to see what more he can do.
