Former UCF running back Demarkus Bowman has been noticeably absent from the latest UCF Football roster, sparking speculation among fans and analysts alike. While the exact reasons for Bowman’s absence remain undisclosed, his departure marks a change for the UCF depth in the RB room, prompting discussions about its impact on the team’s upcoming season and roster dynamics if any. Bowman, a former five-star recruit, originally transferred from the Clemson Tigers to the Gators near the end of the 2020 season. He would be immediately eligible and play sparingly at Florida in 2021, appearing in just five games as a reserve back, rushing 14 times for 81 yards. Last year at UCF, he had 10 carries for 62 yards and 1 TD.
