We are less than three weeks away from the beginning of official NFL team off-season programming. Teams with new Head Coaches will be allowed to begin 2 weeks earlier, as early as April 2nd. Tampa Bay will begin their schedule on the third Monday of the month.

Below, you’ll find a short list of upcoming dates for Buccaneers’ offseason activities, OTAs, practice, and more.

Offseason workouts begin APRIL 15TH

ORGANIZED TEAM ACTIVITIES (OTAs)

May 23rd-25th
May 30th & 31st
June 2nd
June 5th & 6th
June 8th

MANDATORY MINI-CAMP

June 13th-15th

NFL organizations then hold voluntary nine week off-season programs separated into three phases.

The First phase is two weeks long, consisting of physical rehab, strength & conditioning, and team/position group meetings.

Phase Two, which lasts the next three weeks, will ramp things up to include workouts on the practice field as well as individual/team instruction and drills. During Phase Two, players from the same side of the field can line up opposite one another to conduct “walk through” type simulations & practice (offensive players can only lineup across from other offensive players). However, there is NO LIVE CONTACT and it is expressly against the rules for defense to line up against offense or visa versa during this period.

Phase Three allows up to four weeks of more intensive activities. Teams may conduct up to TEN days of organized team practice activities (OTAs) during this period. NO LIVE CONTACT is permitted but teams may run 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills/practice.

If there are any changes or additiona to the Buccaneers’ offseason calendar, we will get the information up as soon as it breaks. Thanks for getting your Bucs’ news here at Sports Club Florida. Go check out our other great articles on all your favorite Florida sports teams!
