SNACK FOODS, AND FOOTBALL

In recent years Orlando, Florida has emerged as an important destination in college football.

Hometown of the University of Central Florida, and by extension the Big XII, is a unique puzzle piece in the post-season mosaic.

The @CitrusBowl and @PopTartsBowl finished as the most watched and third-most watched bowl games outside of the New Years 6, respectively.

What an awesome bowl season in Orlando! Thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, watched or followed along with us. https://t.co/67YrZM87zA

In December, the Pop-Tarts Bowl returns to the City Beautiful for an exciting match-up between the ACC, and the BIG XII conferences. Originally titled the Blockbuster Bowl, the game was born in Miami, Florida, in 1990 and thrived in its first year with a marquee matchup between Penn State and Florida State which drew more than 74,000 fans. After moving to Orlando in 2001, the game has continued to be successful, with several different title sponsors throughout the years. In 2023 Pop-Tarts signed a multi-year agreement with Florida Citrus Sports to be the new title sponsor of the game.

New Years Eve, the Cheez-It Bowl will see a SEC, BIG TEN match up. In last season’s game, Tennessee defeated Iowa 35-0, marking just the sixth shutout in the bowl’s history. True freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava was named game MVP as Tennessee reclaimed the title of winningest team in Cheez-It Citrus Bowl history, with five wins in six all-time appearances.
