Game time: Fast facts, odds, keys to UCF Knights vs. Baylor

When the UCF Knights take on the Baylor Bears this Saturday at noon, it will be a highly anticipated matchup between two evenly matched teams. Here are the fast facts you need to know before kickoff.

The Venue:
The game will take place at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. It’s the first time the Knights will be playing at this venue.

TV Network:
Don’t miss a minute of the action by tuning in to ESPNU to watch the game live.

Game Time Weather:
The weather forecast for game time is 60 degrees with a 35% chance of precipitation. Bring your rain gear just in case!

Betting Odds:
According to the latest line, Baylor is favored by 3.5 points. Will the Knights overcome the odds or will the Bears come out on top?

Coaches:
UCF’s head coach Scott Frost boasts an impressive 23-10 record with the Knights and a 39-41 overall record. Meanwhile, Baylor’s Dave Aranda has a 35-34 record with the Bears and an overall record of 35-34.

Quick Slant:
This will be the third meeting between the two teams, with the series currently tied at one game apiece. The Knights won their first-ever New Year’s Six bowl game against Baylor in 2014, but the Bears got revenge during their first Big 12 home game against UCF in 2023.

About UCF:
Coming off a bye week, UCF is looking to bounce back from a three-game losing streak. In their last game, the Knights dominated West Virginia with a 45-13 win. Keep an eye on quarterback Tayven Jackson and running back Jaden Nixon, who each had two touchdowns in their last game.

About Baylor:
The Bears are also coming off a loss, falling 41-20 to Cincinnati last week. Quarterback Sawyer Robertson had three touchdowns, but the defense struggled to contain the Bearcats’ rushing attack. Will they be able to bounce back against UCF?

3 Things to Watch:
1. Baylor’s defense has struggled to stop the run, allowing over 190 rushing yards per game. UCF’s strong rushing attack, led by Nixon, could take advantage of this weakness.
2. In their last game, UCF recorded 8 sacks, their most in a single game since 2000. Will they be able to put pressure on Baylor’s offense, who has only allowed 14 sacks all season?
3. The Bears have struggled with turnovers, giving up 16 takeaways so far this season. UCF’s defense will look to capitalize on this weakness and create turnovers of their own.

Looking Ahead:
This is sure to be an exciting and evenly matched game between UCF and Baylor. Don’t miss it as both teams fight for a crucial win in the Big 12 conference. Stay tuned for more coverage and analysis from Sports Club Florida.
