Despite reaching just the second round of the Big 12 tournament and not getting an NCAA Tournament invite, UCF considered their 2023-24 season a success knowing that was their first go-around in a much tougher basketball conference.
Expectations are high for the Knights this coming season though after beefing up their lineup and retaining key players from last season.
UCF landed the No.1 center in the class of 2024, Moustapha Thiem, who is expected to anchor the Knights defense and become the focal point of offense inside the shaded lane.
Jaylin Sellers, who averaged a team-high 15.1 points on 41.9 percent shooting, will return for his senior year as he’s expected to play a much bigger role as the main scorer for UCF.
