It’s one heartbreak after another in the Great State of Florida.
Back in September, Florida State was ranked in the AP Poll for the first time since 2018, sitting comfortably at 23 after defeating Boston College. At 4-0, Coach Mike Novell had the Seminoles in the national conversation, for the first time in nearly a decade.
And that’s when Wake Forest arrived in Tallahassee. After a 31-21 barnstorming, the Demon Deacons left FSU in a daze, and the last Florida school standing was dropped from the rankings.
But it wasn’t supposed to be like this. Not this season.
