On Wednesday, the Orlando Magic had a triumphant night, as eight players from the franchise scored double digits, with rookie Paolo Banchero leading the way with 25 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. After the Thunder closed the gap to eight points with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Magic’s offense rallied, with Banchero sinking a mid-range pull-up and two free throws, along with Markelle Fultz adding 13 points of his own with a close-range shot. The Magic also dominated the Thunder in the paint and on the boards, outscoring them by 18 and outrebounding them by 17, while also limiting OKC to nine fast break points and 40.9% from the floor.
I’m thrilled by the win, and I’m looking forward to the Magic continuing their success tomorrow against the Grizzlies again at the Amway Center in a rare back-to-back game for the Magic at home.
