On Sunday, the Orlando Guardians were defeated 10-9 by the Arlington Renegades at Choctaw Stadium in a deadlock game that kept viewers unknowing of who the winner would be.
The Guardians started out strong with a 12-play, 48-yard drive that resulted in a Jose Borregales 35-yard field goal, putting them up 3-0. Arlington responded with a 21-yard field goal by Taylor Russolino, and the score remained deadlocked at 3-3 for the remainder of the first half.
In the fourth quarter, Orlando took a six-point lead when Paxton Lynch scored on a three-yard quarterback draw.

Unfortaunely, the 1-point conversion attempt failed, and the Guardians were left on top 9-3. The Renegades then drove down the field and took the lead with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Sloter to Tyler Vaughns and a successful 1-point conversion run by De’Veon Smith. Despite two more possessions, the Guardians failed to penetrate Arlington territory. Lynch was 19-of-31 passing for 219 yards and recorded one rushing touchdown, while Sloter finished the game with 124 passing yards and one touchdown.
The Orlando Guardians will be hosting the Houston Roughnecks at Camping World Stadium on Saturday, with the game being broadcast on FX and ESPN Deportes.
