ALL WE DO IS WIN (PRESEASON)

Miami entered the preseason as the self-proclaimed ‘fastest team in the league‘, and outpaced the visiting Atlanta Falcons (20-13) as evidence. A cloudy day at Hard Rock Stadium set the backdrop for Coach Mike McDaniels, and long-time emergency signal caller Skylar Thompson. Tyeke Hill, Odell Beckham, and the majority of Miami’s multimillion-dollar stars rested during Friday’s win.

In the most exciting outcome from the preseason thus far, Jacksonville got the moral victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Jaguars’ signal callers C.J. Beathard and Mac Jones combined for 200+ yards of offense, while Trevor Lawerence contributed a scoring drive of his own. It doesn’t mean much, but Jacksonville can *technically* celebrate their latest win over the reigning Super Bowl champions, until the playoffs.

As the glow of ‘Tampa Tom’ fades into historic legend, Kyle Trask continues to struggle. As the second round draft pick works to secure his place as Baker Mayfield’s running mate, his untapped potential continues to flash. A lone 77-yard touchdown drive was a positive on a day that barely elevated his candidacy ahead of John Wolford, as preseason evaluations press on. As the former Florida Gator continues to adapt to the pace of the NFL, Tampa Bay’s preseason defensive unit looks far more promising, sparing the Bucs’ an even more humbling outcome following a Trask turnover.
