GOOD NEWS FROM TAMPA BAY
As of Sept. 7th, long-time NFL standout Mike Williams is still alive, and putting up a fight.
Despite false reports, and disturbing rumors, about his health status following a construction accident last week, former NFL receiver Mike Williams’ condition has steadily improved in recent days. In most recent verifiable reports, Williams’ is no longer depending on a ventilator, and is breathing on his own, while undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.
THOUGHTS
First and foremost, we are celebrating that a young Tampa legend is still with us.
For anyone who might be unfamiliar with Mike Williams’ career, here’s a brief description. Being drafted in 2010, 101st overall, Mike Williams’ of Syracuse became one of the key pieces of Raheem Morris’ Tampa Bay offensive strategy. In his first season, Williams became the first Buccaneer rookie to score a touchdown in back-to-back games since Carnell Williams in 2005, and set multiple team records.
MORE THOUGHTS
Sports media, and journalism specifically, are in a state a crisis. There is no justification for a topic this sensitive being handled so carelessly. Since 2015, we’ve lost several Buccaneers to health complications, including legendary figures such as Vincent Jackson,
No way I just read Mike Williams is still alive, after all those stories he died. That’s so disgusting man. Good news considering, and I hope he pulls through but journalism is such a disgusting profession these days
