NFL FUMBLES AGAIN

All the excitement of Primetime’s stint as Jackson State University translated to only one player being drafted during this year’s NFL Draft. No, I’m not talking about only one player from his former JSU program. Former ball-hawking Florida State Seminole Isaiah Bolden joined the league in the seventh round, after joining Coach Prime in 2020.

Only one player from HBCU football, collectively, got drafted to the NFL this year.

So proud is you @isaiahbolden23 You deserved to be drafted much higher but I'm truly proud of u. I know how much u want this. I'm ashamed of the 31 other @nfl teams that couldn't find draft value in ALL of the talented HBCU players & we had 3 more draft worthy players at JSU. pic.twitter.com/BfEm3zIGPH

MR. RELEVANT

Wesley Chapel HS product Isaiah Bolden’s talent is undeniable.

Hailing from Jacksonville, Bolden’s size and football intelligence made him a homerun prospect throughout his recruitment. During his pre-HBCU career, Bolden contributed greatly during a full season at FSU, playing in all 13-games. Upon his entry into the transfer portal, Primetime’s Jackson State program became his first choice.

Regrettably, the scouts from the league’s thirty-two franchises couldn’t identify another draft-worthy prospect from anywhere in HBCU football. So, here’s a list.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

  • Isaiah Land
  • Xavier Smith
  • Kemari Averett
