It’s a new day on Biscayne Bay.
FIU quarterback Keyone Jenkins is leading the Panthers to victory in electrifying fashion. Last season, the Panthers finished with a four win record. This season, the Panthers are already halfway to matching that win total, defeating North Texas and Maine, respectively.

As a product of the iconic Miami Central Senior HS football program, Jenkins was an important leader on the teams that won four consecutive state championships. Jenkins became the first true freshman to start at quarterback for the Panthers since the 2014 season – a span of 93 games – and he finished with the most passing yards by a true freshman in FIU program history with 292 on 15 completions, while adding two touchdowns.
As a true freshman, Jenkins has already made history in his new place.
