The UCF Knights will look to rebound against the Florida Gators at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.
Still nursing its wounds after a demoralizing 48-21 loss to the Colorado Buffaloes last week, the Knights badly need to win this historical game against Florida to steer their ship in the right direction.

What Happened Against Colorado?
KJ Jefferson had one of his worst college football performances, going 20-for-35 for 284 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders shredded UCF’s defense, passing for 290 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
The only silver lining from that game was the continued fine play of running back RJ Harvey. Despite rushing just 77 yards against Colorado, Harvey finished with a team-high 92 receiving yards on four receptions with one touchdown. It only shows Harvey’s offensive versatility as a rusher and receiver.
What Are to Expect From Florida?
Florida rebounded from a 33-20 loss to Texas A&M by outscoring Mississippi State 45-28. As expected, the Gators engaged in another high-scoring ballgame, posting three passing and running touchdowns while allowing the Bulldogs to score 28 points. By the way, Florida is among the worst defensive teams in the country, allowing 27.3 points per game. The Gators have also allowed 236.8 passing yards per game (95th in the nation) and 188.8 rushing yards per contest (108th) this season.
UCF Knights vs. Florida Gators: Who wins the Florida Showdown?
Florida is coming off a bye week, and head coach Billy Napier believes his squad has improved significantly from this week’s sessions. However, fixing defensive flaws involves more than just training and skimming.
Florida’s weak defense might put them in a difficult scenario against the Knights, who have a top-20 offense (39.5 points per game) and the nation’s No.2 rushing crew (326.0 rushing yards per game).
UCF is currently listed at -2.5 points on several sportsbook. However, I feel they are capable of handing Florida one of the program’s biggest losses this season solely through their offensive firepower. My betting prediction for UCF Knights vs. Florida Gators is for the Knights to cover -2.5 points (-115) at Bovada.
