SUNSHINE AND SADNESS
The State for Florida Football, generally, is not good.
As a collective, we are now (1-11) as a state, after last weekend’s festivities. And shockingly, that was the best case scenario. At the lowest level of things are the Florida State Seminoles, who are comfortably dead-last in the Atlantic Coast Conference (behind California, Stanford, and first place SMU). Coach Novell has now fired both coordinators, and the embattled wide receiver coach that Keon Coleman warned recruits about. In a similar position, the Florida Gators and the UCF Knights suffered similarly soul-crushing defeats of their own. Tallahassee’s better half lost in humiliating fashion. Florida football troubles extended to the professional game as well.
TALLAHASSE NIGHTMARE
As the Seminoles continue their losing ways, it seems to have rubbed off on the Rattlers, which dropped to (5-4) on the road, vs. Prairie Valley A&M University. Unfortunately, starting quarterback Daniel Richardson suffered a concussion in the opening minutes of Saturday’s contest. FAMU Head Coach James Colzie has indicated that Richardson’s return will be based on a day-to-day evaluation schedule, as QB1 participated in Tuesday practice without a helmet or shoulder pads. In the meantime, FAMU’s succession protocols put Orlando native Junior Muratovic (Wekiva HS) in to finish the game. Muratovic finished 16 of 29 for 150 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Lack of a playbook for QB2 proved to be just want PVAMU needed to pull off the upset, in a stinker for Rattler fans. The Rattlers fall to a frustrating third place in the conference, behind Alabama State and undefeated Jackson State.
FAMU seeks to regain their compassion at home vs. Mississippi Valley State, ahead of the Florida Classic on November 23rd.
A DUMPSTER FIRE IN DUVAL
An injured Trevor Lawerence’s challenges in Jacksonville continue to create uncomfortable headlines, as Mac Jones prepares to fill in.
Cam Bynum’s game-sealing INT of Mac Jones involved a celebration dedicated to the recently retired Raygun 😅

As the hometown hero(?), Jones finished the game 14-for-22 for 111 yards and two interceptions.
Seemed like a reasonable question from @BrentASJax (I think we all could’ve figured it out). pic.twitter.com/0jC4ARTTw7

PLANK WALKIN’ ANIMAL
Tampa Bay lost as well.
SAINT MICHAEL AND THE FINS
As Rod Wave put it, “listen, listen, listen, I love Miami.”
And following Monday night’s victory in Los Angeles, Coach Mike McDaniel can take some solace in the thought that sports media loves Miami too, and the generally quirkiness of Florida football, however questions (while quieted down for now) still are still lurking beneath the waves. A dominate performance from, and a defiant Tua helps ease the pressure. But, the Dolphins still haven’t prepared Snoop Huntley to take over, as McDaniel’s over-reliance on Tua Tagovailoa continues to haunt the AFC East’s runner-up. Especially as Tua insists on tackling folks with his head down, after throwing interceptions. But for now, the season stays alive (or at least on life support). How will the offensive perform, now that Tyreek Hill has finally found his second score since week one (we’re in week ten), or are the Dolphins a strictly defensive team now? And do Dolphins wins still matter, when they share a division with Keon Coleman’s (8-2) Buffalo Bills?
Questions that need answers, as the Dolphins prepare for Las Vegas on Sunday.
