International soccer icon Lionel Messi is expected to play on Friday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, as Inter Miami faces Orlando City in a MLS preseason match. Miami coach Javier Mascherano described his mindset ahead of his team’s MLS season opener, vs. New York City FC.

“The same as always. I don’t know any version of Leo that isn’t superior. The years keep passing and he continues to surprise us with his level and his desire to compete.”
