MOBILE, Ala. — Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks used Senior Bowl week to put himself firmly on the NFL radar.

Banks delivered one of the more noticeable performances among interior defensive linemen, flashing the quickness and strength that translate to the next level. The week served as a clear statement that his game is trending up at the right time, with teams finalizing evaluations ahead of the draft.

The attention is not just about one practice or one rep. Banks showed he can affect the pocket from the inside, hold his ground versus power, and finish plays. For a Florida program looking to send more front-seven talent into the league, Banks’ week in Mobile reinforced that he is part of that pipeline.

The original report captured the main takeaway from his surge: “It’s clear that so much of Banks’ best football is ahead of him and whichever team drafts him will be the beneficiary of a player that’s just scratching the surface of what he can offer.”

For Florida fans, the story is simple. Banks looks like a player whose ceiling is still rising. His Senior Bowl work validated traits scouts want in modern interior defenders: movement skills, disruptive potential, and the ability to play with leverage.

From here, the focus turns to the pre-draft process. Teams will stack the Senior Bowl tape with measurements, medical evaluations, and interviews. If Banks continues to check boxes, his week in Mobile will be seen as the moment his profile moved from “intriguing” to “priority target” on day two and beyond.

Whatever his final draft slot, Banks’ trajectory is now pointing in the right direction, and Florida may soon add another name to its list of NFL defensive line contributors.
