Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced yesterday that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been officially designated to return from injured reserve and will resume practicing with the team on Wednesday. This marks a significant step forward in his recovery, but he still must clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before being eligible to play. While the team remains cautiously optimistic, they are hopeful that Tua will be ready to take the field in Sunday’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Tagovailoa has been sidelined following a hard hit that left him dealing with concussion symptoms. The Dolphins’ medical staff and coaching team have been following a meticulous recovery plan, ensuring that he passes all necessary tests before he’s allowed back into game action. Tua’s absence has left a noticeable void in the Dolphins’ offense, and his return would be a major boost as the team looks to solidify its playoff push in the coming weeks.

McDaniel expressed confidence in the quarterback’s progress but emphasized the importance of Tua’s long-term health. The Dolphins have taken extra precautions to avoid rushing him back prematurely, especially given the serious nature of his injury. If cleared to play, Sunday’s game will provide Tagovailoa a chance to regain his rhythm and help the team in a crucial point of the season.

As the Dolphins prepare for a tough Cardinals defense, having Tua back under center could make a significant difference. Fans and teammates alike are eager to see him back in action, knowing the impact his leadership and playmaking ability can have on the outcome of the game. The decision on his availability for Sunday will ultimately hinge on his performance in practice and his clearance from the league’s concussion protocol later this week.
