Wildcats Served an L in Homecoming Game for TSU Tigers

In a not-so-surprising loss, the TSU Tigers won against the Wildcats. This is the Wildcat’s 3rd consecutive loss against TSU. Here at Sports Club Florida, we were hoping the Wildcats would spoil the series and this homecoming game for TSU but fate had other plans. I suppose the 1-5 Tigers were still pumped up from one of their largest recorded homecoming parade they’ve had just before the game.

Nissan Stadium was ready for the Tigers vs B-CU game that was prominently led by the Tigers. The return of quarterback Draylen Ellis was a sign of trouble for the wildcats. The kid didn’t miss a beat having an explosive and elusive game finishing it off with a 27-yard touchdown run like he never left.

QB1 Jalon Jones completed 19 of his 34 passes for 146 yards with one interception in leading the BCU passing attack. Jones rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown to lead the Bethune-Cookman rushing attack. In the 1st quarter B-CU was only able to respond with a field goal, however going into the second half the Wildcats turned up the heat with a series of runs in the 3rd quarter by Que’shaun Byrd, Terry Lindsey, Jalon Jones leading to a final 1yd TD by Byrd on the last play at 10:51 in the 3rd (10-31).

The Fight was Alive in the Wildcat’s QB

Jones in a spectacular rush play scored a 67-yard TD early in the 4th quarter proving the Wildcats shouldn’t be counted out. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time to recover the game and the Tigers soon answered the Wildcats making the final score 17-41.

Next week the Wildcats face off against JSU at home in the EverBank Field. The way JSU has been playing this season and their recent win Against the Alabama State Hornets (3-3); it may not be pretty for our home team. I’m calling this game, a 52-22 Tiger win.
