PRIME TIME IN ROCKIES

In 2022, Travis Hunter was the number one high school cornerback in the country, and was safely committed to Florida State. Unfortunately for FSU: Jackson, Mississippi, had the one advantage that matters: Coach Prime.

This year, the new number one high school cornerback in the country has found himself in an eerily similar scenario. Coming off of an electrifying senior season at Lakeland High School; five-star prospect Cormani McClain had made a verbal commitment to joining Mario Cristobal’s rebuild at Miami, without a signing a national letter of intent. This narrow opening turned into opportunity once Deion Sanders arrived at Boulder, Colorado as the Buffalo’s new head coach.

For the second time in as many years, Coach Prime has flipped a No. 1 commitment from a D1 program in his home state.
