UCF Knights Football opened the month of May with a slew of commitments from players who are expected to raise the level of play for the program in the coming seasons.
UCF announced on May 1 that former Toledo and Louisville running back Peny Boone has committed to join the Knights.

Boone was considered one of the best running backs on the transfer portal after rushing for 1,400 yards and 15 TDs for Toledo last season. His terrific performance on the field earned him the 2023 MAC Player of the Year.

Boone, who will have two more years left in his eligibility, is expected to form a dynamic partnership with fellow running back RJ Harvey, significantly bolstering the Knights’ rushing offense.
UCF Snags Wideout and Safety Prospects From The Transfer Portal
UCF Football also announced this past week the commitment of former Ohio wideout Jacoby Jones and ETSU safety Sheldon Arnold III.

Standing at 6-foor-3, Jones will provide the Knights some size in their receiving corps and a potential target for KJ Jefferson next season.
In two seasons at Ohio, Jones posted 53 Receptions for 923 Yards & 6 TDS. He will have 1 year of eligibility.

Meanwhile, former Eastern Tennessee State University safety Sheldon Arnold III also committed to play for UCF next season after a stellar 2023 campaign in which he tallied 87 Tackles, 9 TFL, 4 INT, 3 FF, 3 FR, & 2 Defensive TDs. The first team FCS All-American will have one year of eligibility to play college football.
